Normal wear, improper installation, misuse, accidental damage, unauthorized modifications, and failure to follow recommended maintenance procedures may not be covered.

Care and Maintenance

Regular care will help preserve the reformer’s appearance, safety, and smooth performance.

Wheels, Rails and Adjustment Components

Periodically clean the carriage wheels, wheel bearings, spring adjustment bars, and the rails or guides along which the carriage travels. Lubricate moving components when necessary according to the manufacturer’s instructions to maintain a quiet, consistent glide.

Upholstery

Clean the upholstery with water and a soft microfiber cloth. For deeper cleaning, dilute approximately one tablespoon of neutral soap in 1.5 liters of water and gently wipe the affected area.

Avoid abrasive cleaners, harsh chemicals, excessive moisture, bleach, and oil-based products, as they may damage or discolor the upholstery.

Springs

Inspect the springs regularly for signs of wear, deformation, corrosion, unusual spacing, or reduced resistance. Elina Pilates recommends replacing the springs approximately every two years, although replacement frequency may vary based on the intensity and frequency of use.

Stop using any spring that appears damaged or no longer provides consistent resistance.

Routine Safety Checks

Before each session, confirm that the footbar, shoulder rests, ropes, straps, pulleys, springs, and adjustment components are properly secured. Periodically inspect the frame, carriage, hardware, and accessories for loose parts or visible damage.

Replacement parts should be compatible with the Master Instructor Reformer and installed according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
